‘Sarainodu is a life and death film’

Did he really mean the above title statement? In the success meet of ‘Sarainodu’, director Boyapati Srinu said “Sarainodu is a life and death film for me”. This seems more like a usual stage comment. Nevertheless there is some truth in it. How?

Boyapati adeptness at handling mass entertainers with senior heroes like Balakrishna is well known. But there is also another facet to this popularity. There is a wide belief that he can’t direct young heroes as his direction lacks youthfulness and that contemporary feel.

Loads of violence has been his forte. So directing and recording a hit with a top young hero has been his necessity at this point of his career. Only if ‘Sarainodu’ works, it would be a game changer for him and further other top young heroes will come forward to work with him.
