Sardar 2 Has Ten Times More Impact Than Sardar – Karthi

Karthi is returning to the silver screen with the highly anticipated spy thriller Sardar 2, directed by PS Mithran and produced by Prince Pictures. Presented to the Telugu audience by Annapoorna Studios, the film is set for a worldwide theatrical release on September 10. Building on the massive success of Sardar, the versatile actor shared exciting details about the sequel during a recent media interaction, expressing strong confidence in the grand scale and visual presentation of the project.

“The concept of Sardar 2 will create ten times more impact than the first film,” Karthi stated. While the original addressed the global issue of water commercialization, the sequel delves into a distinct domestic crisis. “Most spy films focus on international missions executed outside India. However, Sardar 2 is about how an Indian spy tackles a massive, critical problem unfolding right inside the country, which makes the narrative remarkably engaging,” he explained.

Highlighting the visual scale and technical brilliance, Karthi revealed that the production team made zero compromises to deliver an authentic espionage experience. The makers went as far as erecting an entire life-sized Vande Bharat train set for high-octane sequences. “We mounted the film on a very large canvas. From start to finish, the movie features mind-blowing action blocks, particularly during the flashback and climax episodes, proving that we can produce spy thrillers on par with the highest standards in Indian cinema,” he shared.

Karthi also expressed his happiness about collaborating once again with Annapoorna Studios for the Telugu release. “Whenever I have a good film, I feel confident, but when Nagarjuna garu is backing it, my confidence doubles,” he said.
