Sekhar Kammula’s Satire On KCR?

Director Sekhar Kammula’s Love Story trailer was unveiled today. The trailer had Kammula’s trademark with poignant and realistic take on love.

While the trailer is getting good reception, it has also courted controversy with political flavour. Wondering how?

The dialogue where Naga Chaitanya says that how an individual will progress if a sheep is given to a person who rears sheeps and rickshaw is given to the ones driving rickshaw has sparked row. TRS supporters have been hurt by this dialogue who are viewing it that is an indirect jibe on K.Chandrasekhar Rao.

For the unversed, KCR has started a Telangana sheep distribution scheme. There were similar comments on the scheme when it was launched. TRS supporters opine that Sekhar Kammula is endorsing that criticism with this dialogue

It may be recalled that Kammula’s Fidaa which was a roaring hit was appreciated by KCR and KTR. Thus the filmmaker wouldn’t do anything to hurt KCR and the dialogue would have only been in reference to the film and with no political connotation.

In fact, not only Kammula but all the Love Story crew are non-controversial. Therefore TRS supporters shouldn’t jump the gun having wrong assumptions basing on a mere dialogue.
