Selfie Campaign for ‘Donate a Face’

An innovative online campaign by name ‘Donate a Face’ kicked off recently on social media which is aimed at creating awareness about acid attacks and the survivors. The campaign is promoted by ‘Stop Acid Attacks’ which works for acid attack survivors in association with Creative Agency Cheil India.

The campaign ask the users take a selfie with their faces covered by a paper and keep it as their profile photos on Facebook and Twitter for sometime. The paper will have a solidarity message to the victims affected.

According to reports, at least three acid attack take place every week in India. The survivors usually need multiple round of plastic surgeries, usually 5 to 6. But government provides Rs 3 lakh as compensation to the survivors, which is not enough for the treatment.
