Director Shankar of Jeans and Enthiran fame has always tried to do the best for his films without about the budget of the project. Most recently, the director went scouting for locations for his latest film I, which has Vikram and Amy Jackson in the lead.
Apparently, the director had been looking for some striking locations in China and having found some, he has already completed the shooting of some portions of the film in his first schedule itself. However, the director was refused access to certain parts of the country where he was actually planning to shoot. Despites numerous requests from Shankar, he was thwarted by the local authorities.
Nevertheless, Shankar remains unfazed and has come up with an alternative plan which involves the recreation of parts of China in Kodaikanal in an area of over 150 acres.
