Shatamanam Bhavati Declared a Sleeper Hit

Dil Raju was super confident from the day one that his film Shatamanam Bhavati will be a good hit all over its areas of release. Many did not believe it but now looks like the film has ended as a sleeper hit especially in the overseas.

The film collected a total gross of $64,054 on Saturday taking the total to $647,817 to date. This is decent money as the film received very mixed reviews from the critics and started at a very slow rate.

On the other hand, when compared to the other hero of the same stature, Nikhil’s Ekkadiki Pothavu Chinnavada made an easy $716k but that film got some very positive reviews when compared to Shatamanam Bhavati.

Back home in India, the film has crossed the 20 crore share mark bringing huge revenue for Dil Raju who made the film on less than ten cores. So the gamble of releasing a film during Sankranthi biggies has played big time for Sharwa and his producer Dil Raju.
