Shatamanam Bhavati Takes a Slow Start at US BO

The overseas distributors who bought Shatamanam Bhavati were so confident that they had its premiere shows two days in advance. The film has collected $46 K from 70 locations which is quite dull collections wise.

These figures clearly prove that stars matter a lot for the crowds to come into the theaters. On the other hand, the other two releases, Satakarni and Khaidi 150 clocked very good amounts from the premieres and are going strong.

Even though nothing huge was expected from this film, the amount of money it earned clearly proves that it is the star who brings the big bucks for the overseas distributors.

Yet another interesting fact is that the film will only release Saturday in India and because of this the reviews have not yet come out.

The NRI’s who depend a lot on the reviews are waiting to see what the critics say before spending some good money on a film which can be watched at a leisure.
