She Immediately Agreed to Wear Bikini

At a point of time, wearing a bikini was all the rage in Tollywood, beginning with Billa. Following that film, many actresses resorted to wearing a bikini, but few of them resulted in positive outcomes.

Producer DS Rao spoke of one such incident, in a recent interview. DS Rao produced Drona, a film starring Nithiin and Priyamani in the lead roles, which released in 2009. The film failed at the box office, but there was a lot of intrigue surrounding the film, thanks to Priyamani’s stint by wearing a bikini. There were strong rumors at that time, suggesting that Priyamani agreed to wear a bikini after charging a high remuneration.

When asked if Priyamani had charged any extra money for wearing a bikini, and the various rumors that surrounded the issue at that time, DS Rao clarified the story. He said that Priyamani had readily accepted when asked to wear a bikini, as she was promised to have a song all for herself. He also said that she didn’t charge any extra money for doing the part.

DS Rao is known for producing films like Pilla Zamindar, Chammak Challo, Drona, and Mr. Nookayya. On the other hand, Priyamani recently started her second innings. She has a leading role in the popular series Family Man and will be seen in Virata Parvam and Naarappa next.
