Last Trick By The Makers To Pull Public

The makers of Kartik Aaryan’s Shehzada have announced a special gift for moviegoers — the tickets on opening day can be availed at a ‘buy one, get one free’ deal if the tickets are booked on the BookMyShow app.

After seeing that the response has been terrible for the film in the advance bookings, makers are trying to lure the public with this one-plus-one offer on its opening day. They are pulling out all the tricks of the trade to drag the audience into the theaters and get some respectable numbers on the first day.

Earlier in the day, the makers of Pathaan announced that the tickets for Pathaan will be available at flat 112/- across all PVR, INOX, and Cinepolis multiplex chains on Friday. The makers announced this to celebrate Pathaan’s 500 Crore net collections in India.

The trade experts predicted that Pathaan might attract more footfalls on its fourth Friday than Shehzada on its first day because of this Rs. 112 offer. So the Shehzada makers have adopted this ‘buy one get one free’ offer also to counter the Pathaan mania.

Due to this ploy, the Shezada makers are risking a Zero-share on its Day 1. They are taking this risk hoping that more people will show up and positive word-of-mouth will help rather than being a complete non-starter.

Shehzada is produced by Bhushan Kumar, Haarika & Hassine Creations, and Geetha Arts and is a remake of the Allu Arjun blockbuster Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo.
