Shocking Raise of Faded Telugu Actress

Remember the Punjabi beauty Navneet Kaur who romanced Balayya in Maharadhi and showed irresistible moves as Rambha in NTR’s Yamadonga song? She is now the Member of Parliament from Amaravati constituency of Maharashtra.

This news came as a shocker to the Telugu audience who once knew her as a heroine. Navneet has also done nearly 20 films in Telugu alone and has stared in a quite a few other languages too but couldn’t shine much as an actor.

Then she married a politician Ravi Rana and that’s how she got into politics. Having lost the polls the last time, she contested independently and won with a majority of 36,951 votes against the leading ruler Adsul Anandrao.

This came as a record level victory for Navneet for defeating a senior leader who has been winning the constituency for 5 times now. While her stardom contributed 10-20%, her close movement with the people for over a year helped her the 80% to win the polls as Navneet Rana says. Anyway, heroines have become politicians a lot many times, but Navneet’s is definitely a shocker.
