Should Venky Immediately Take up Drishyam 2?

‘Drishyam 2‘ started streaming on amazon prime Video since midnight and going by the response of the audiences, the sequel has lived up to the hype that was created by the virtue of the prequel and also the trailer that came out.

This Mohanlal’s movie passed the test with flying colours and we know that sequels rarely live up to the hype. Social media is hailing the movie as a masterpiece from director Jeetu Joseph. Victory Venkatesh did the Telugu remake version of ‘Drishyam’ and that remake was also a super hit movie.

‘Drishyam 2‘ directly went to the OTT platform and that means, many Telugu OTT subscribers might have watched it, already with subtitles. But, that shouldn’t be a problem because the rural market is huge and the Telugu remake will certainly come with a fresh cast.

Added to that, there would be tweaks to bring in the nativity to the remake. The sequel being a success is an advantage already. Venkatesh is presently doing the Telugu remake ‘Narappa’ of Tamil movie ‘Asuran’. The Daggubati senior star scored maximum hits with remakes. So, he might likely do this remake of ‘Drisjhyam 2’, as well.
