Actress Shruti Haasan is quite vocal about the need for women empowerment. She has now joined a long list of celebrities to voice her opinion about atrocities against women.
Lending her support to a new campaign titled ‘Reach for the sky’, Shruti Haasan said, “We need to put an end to discrimination against women and the power to bring about this change lies in our hands. So let’s start now. Enable, empower and transform. Chulein Aasman.” In the past, the actress had supported various other noble causes including raising awareness about AIDS, child education and recently, she was spotted at a campaign in Mumbai to raise funds for the Kashmir flood victims.
In fact, Farhan Akthar was extremely delighted with Shruti’s decision to participate in the campaign. Having wrapped up shooting for Tamil film Poojai, she’s currently in Dubai shooting for Welcome Back.
