Main Release – 15L, Re-release – 1.5 Cr

Hero Siddharth has a strange story to tell as the box office verdict of his main release and re-release are staggeringly different. The two films are Chinna and Oye.

Chinna, being a different genre film didn’t find patronage in the Telugu states as it grossed a meager Rs 15 lakh on its first day. Siddharth pleaded with the Telugu audience to watch the film but the box office numbers in the Telugu states were very poor.

However, on the other hand, Siddharth’s Oye which re-released on the occasion of Valentine’s Day – February 14th had a much better reception at the box office.

Interestingly, Oye has collected over Rs 1.5 crore gross in the Telugu states on the day of its re-release. It is the highest-grossing re-release of 2024 and understandably so, given the kind of evergreen touch it has.

A hero’s main theatrical release grossed Rs 15 lakh on its first day and his re-release grossed 10X more – Rs 1.5 crore and this doesn’t happen often.
