Singapore Team earmarks 8 Urban Corridors in Capital

Amaravathi, the upcoming state capital of Andhra Pradesh will have eight Urban Plan Areas in which each of it would be a growth center of development. Singapore government team had clearly ear marked these areas in the first phase Master plan submitted to AP government.

The eight corridors are Nandigama, Gudivada, Gannavaram, Vijayawada, Guntur, Tenali, Sattenapallu and Nuzivid. Nandigama corridor will be a center for pharma, biotech, plastics packaging units, Gudivada corridor would serve the green industries and agro-based industries. IT, ITES, electronics, hardware, automotive and aerospace companies will be accommodated in Gannavaram corridor.

Food processing, cold chains, textiles and non-metallic products units would be set up in Guntur corridor, while Tenali corridor would cater to tourism and entertainment and logistics. Sattenapalli corridor would have tourism and knowledge centres and Nuzvid corridor would be an agro industrial and fabrication hub.
