Mass Class From Dhanush’s Sir!

The theatrical trailer of Dhanush‘s new film Sir is out. It is his first bilingual made in Telugu and Tamil simultaneously. Venky Atluri directs the movie called Vaathi in Tamil.

The first thing that stands out from Sir‘s trailer is that it looks like a mass film. Venky Atluri has so far made class movies with little mass touch like Tholi Prema, Mr. Majnu, and Rang De. Here he goes entirely mass.

A hint about the storyline was given with the teaser itself. Now, we get more clarity with the trailer. Sir is set in educational background and the mafia surrounding it. How poor people are exploited for education seems to be the theme.

The trailer also shows us that it is not mere action and that there are other elements as well. There is romance, along with the typical mass action. The whole thing is packaged in a typical Telugu commercial potboiler style.

Check out the trailer below. Dhanush is paired up with Samyuktha in the movie. GV Prakash provides music that has been a hit with youngsters. Suryadevara Naga Vamsi and Sai Soujanya jointly produce the movie which is all set to hit the big screens on February 17th.
