Trailer Talk: Marginally Betters The Teaser

The trailer of director Teja’s brand new film Sita is out. It is his next after making a successful commercial comeback with Nene Raju Nene Mantri starring Rana previously.

Before we get to the trailer, it might be helpful to remember that the teaser was disastrous. Everyone was hamming and over the top and didn’t generate any positive impression. With that in mind, we have to say the trailer does just enough to undo the damage of the teaser. There is a hint about the underlying story which could be interesting.

The overacting is still there, but it is balanced to an extent with the emotional parts. Teja has a unique sensibility when it comes to comedy. It is not universal, but it works enough to engage the audience. The extent of success (or lack off) of Sita is dependent on this factor and how good or bad it turns out.

The three primary characters, Kajal, Bellamkonda Srinivas and Sonu Sood, seem to be given equal footage. Sonu Sood, based on the trailer could end up with another Ek Niranjan like show-stealing act.

Check out the trailer below. The Teja directorial is all set to hit the screens across the Telugu states and other territories on May 24th. More than Kajal, the lead actor Bellamkonda Srinivas would be hoping for a big success. Let’s see how it fares in a few weeks from now.
