Social Media Kills Actress & Sheds Tears!

Social media is a strange place. News often spreads like wildfire here and quite often, there is a fair deal of fake news that is in circulation. Here’s one such instance.

Going into the story, a short while ago, there were multiple reports on social media, a few from verified Twitter handles that Kannada-born actress Divya Spandana has passed away due to a heart attack.

The news spread quickly and several netizens even expressed condolences to the family. The shocking nature of the news meant that it gained traction immediately.

However, just 30 minutes later, it was established that this is fake news. It was reported that Divya Spandana is alive and well. A few photos of her traveling abroad have also surfaced now.

“Divya was sleeping when these social media reports broke out. She was shocked after hearing about the developments” a report from a verified handle that spoke with Divya read.

In a span of 1 hour, social media managed to kill the actress(rumors), shed tears and pass condolence messages, and then again come to the clarity that she is alive and doing well.
