Amala Paul has filed a police complaint against her estranged friend, Bhavninder Singh Dhatt for allegedly cheating her in a business deal and threatening to upload her private photos on social media.
Villupuram police have filed a complaint against Dhatt in 16 different sections and he was arrested by the police.
Amala and Dhatt had launched their production house back in 2018 and had shifted to Auroville since.
The police stated that Dhatt forged documents to remove Amala Paul as the director of the company and also threatened the actress to upload her photos on social media.
The police have initiated further investigation and Dhatt will now have to face the legal consequences.
On the work front, Amala has mostly been doing OTT projects of late. She is predominantly signing web series’ for OTT platforms.
