South India movies dominate Hindi biggies

Thanks to the advent of uniform musical platforms where people from across the languages could buy music online now people can really see for themselves which album or which artist is selling at the top India wide. I, Kaththi, Bang Bang and Happy New Year are some of the biggest releases in the coming months and music of these films, were launched recently in grand manner. Many expected the Bollywood movies to be at the top musically but everyone were surprised with the results.

I and Kaththi occupied the top 2 places followed by Bang Bang and Happy New Year in the albums downloaded charts, clearly showing the dominance of the Southern albums. Lack of chartbuster songs in Hindi films are said to be the reason for this lacklustre response by many. That might be true if one goes by the popularity of the albums or the songs. I and Kaththi have won instant appreciation from fans as well as music lovers and hence the record sales, state the music company owners. Whatever it is this is seen as a very special occurrence as usually one doesn’t get biggies releasing at the same time to have this sort of competition.
