SPB, Lakshmi work together again

After their combo was lauded by audiences and critics alike in Mithunam, veteran actors SPB and Lakshmi, are coming together to work in Tamil film titled Moone Moonu Varthai, which is being produced by S.P Charan, son of SPB. Lakshmi and SPB play the hero’s grandparents in the film, and apparently the director cast them after watching Mithunam.

Director Madhumita says that she really liked their performance in Mithunam and therefore decided to rope them in. She loved their intense performance and felt that they would be very apt in the role. The film also marks the return of S.P Charan as a producer, who after the debacle of national award-winning Tamil film Aaranya Kaandam, has returned to production. The failure of that film costed Charan a lot of money and he was forced to sell his dad’s studio to pay his debts.

Director Madhumita says they may dub the film in Telugu as well since it has a known cast. But she says it’s too early to confirm because they haven’t started shooting yet for the film.
