Salman Khan recently announced the release date for his next film, which is Eid 2027, and as soon as this news came out, people on social media started talking because Sandeep Reddy Vanga and Prabhas’s film Spirit is also arriving on the same date.
This announcement has now sparked a big online debate about who will actually win this massive clash. Some people are even seeing it as a clash between Vivek Oberoi, who is playing a villain in Spirit, and Salman Khan.
The hype for Spirit is already reaching new heights because Prabhas is joining hands with Sandeep Reddy Vanga for the first time, and fans are excited to see him in a violent cop role after giving back-to-back duds at the box office.
Even though this clash sounds exciting for the audience, it actually makes very little sense when we look at the business side of things because Dil Raju is a very shrewd producer who has also worked with Prabhas in the past in films like Munna and Mr. Perfect. Also, he will want to work with Prabhas in the future, so he will not clash his Bollywood hero Salman Khan movie with his own industry hero Prabhas.
Since Spirit is going to be a massive event for Telugu fans, Dil Raju will surely plan his release in a way that helps both movies succeed instead of fighting for the same screens.
Also, Spirit can always move ahead, as most pan-India movies do not arrive on their announced date. Even Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Animal was pushed from an Independence Day release to December 2023.
After the ugly clash of Dunki vs Salaar, the industry knows that a clash like this would only lead to a loss of screens and revenue for both movies, so it is much more probable that there will be a gap of at least a few weeks between these two big releases because any smart producer would avoid such a risky situation.
