The first impression from watching the teaser is not positive. It looks all over the place, and there is nativity issue. The making is typical of a Tamil film rather than a Telugu movie. It still wouldn’t be a problem because even if treated like a Tamil movie, there are many teasers with kick-ass impact including Murugadoss’s films.
The problem is, Spyder misses that Murugadoss’s slick touch and comes across as loud commercial flick with many over the top emotions. It can be good eventually as a whole, but the teaser doesn’t give bright hopes. The dialogues are weak and don’t carry the punch, in fact, it does the opposite. There is a scope for grand action and some visuals point towards that without any doubt. Also, one can understand why the movie was postponed, looking at those shots. For now, the teaser is disappointing and lessens the expectations. Despite saying this, it is still an AR Murugadoss film and there is hope due to it.
Check out the trailer below. Spyder stars Mahesh Babu, Rakul Preet Singh in the lead. SJ Suryah plays the antagonist, and one can’t miss him in the teaser. Spyder releases worldwide on September 27.
