Sridevi Clarifies About Long Pending Rumour on Mahesh Babu

There was a rumour that the makers of Mahesh Babu‘s upcoming movie ‘SPYder’ were in talks with Sridevi and Boney Kapoor to launch their daughter Jhanvi Kapoor alongside Mahesh Babu. The offer was rejected.

Giving a final clarity on the issue, Sridevi said that they were indeed approached for the project. But, Bollywood top filmmaker cum producer, Karan Johar was interested in Launching Jhanvi Kapoor through a Hindi movie and hence he had advised them against launching her through a regional movie.

Initially, Bollywood pretty actress Parineeti Chopra was expected to romance Mahesh Babu. But, she had to opt out citing date issues. The offer went to Jhanvi Kapoor and then to Rakul Preet Singh. From the beginning, Sridevi and Boney Kapoor were interested in launching her via a Bollywood movie.
