Sridevi does a Rajnikanth!!!

Sridevi no doubt is the timeless diva but to do a Rajnikanth is almost a rare feat. Thalaiva Rajnikanth’s style and craze are unique and no other actor or actress can come anywhere near him. He is one of the two South Indian heroes who earned all-India craze besides Kamal Haasan. His fame even spread to other countries and especially in Japan, Rajni has a good fan base and most of his films are either dubbed into Japanese language or released with subtitles.

Currently, yesteryear heroine Sridevi too is creating waves in Japan. Her comeback film ‘English Vinglish’ was dubbed into Japan and released in 33 theatres in Japan and the dubbed version collected approximately Rs.3 crores in Indian currency. The film got an overwhelming response for its universal content. Especially the theme of the film suits to every Non-English speaking countries.

The film was earlier dubbed into Telugu and Tamil also and made good business in South India too. But people opined that it was because Sridevi comes from South Film Industry, she has fans in South India. Now, Japan is entirely a new place for Sridevi and there is less chance that anyone knows Sridevi’s popularity there. The over whelming figures collected by Sridevi’s movie are astonishing the trade pandits in India.
