Srimanthudu moves past Gabbar Singh

At the end of the ninth day Superstar Mahesh Babu starrer Srimanthudu has moved past Gabbar Singh and become the all time fourth highest grosser of Telugu cinema.

Srimanthudu had seen a bit of drop in the final two days of the first week but the collections have once again zoomed up on the Independence Day. The film almost doubled its Friday collections in all the territories and went past the 60 Cr mark. Now the next target is Ram Charan starrer Magadheera which is around 72 Cr mark.

In all these years it is surprising to note that while there have been two films crossing the 70 Cr mark there are hardly any films in the 60 Cr to 70 Cr zone barring one Gabbar Singh. With the increased market we can expect 60 Cr plus becoming the new 40 Cr club and more films in this bracket in the coming future.
