Legendary filmmaker Singeetham Srinivasa Rao is returning to the director’s chair at the age of 94 with his upcoming film, Sing Geetham. Known for his groundbreaking work in Indian cinema with classics like the silent film Pushpak and the sci-fi masterpiece Aditya 369, the veteran director is ready to break new ground once again.
Sing Geetham is envisioned as India’s first musical fantasy, blending magical realism into a unique cinematic experience. The film features Ayaan, Ahilya Bamroo, and Shalini Kondepudi in the lead roles. The story follows a young man named Prathap, whose search for opportunity takes him to a mysterious, isolated village where he gets caught in a conflict between progress and preservation.
The makers have unveiled teaser showcasing how every villager is looking for treasure hunt in old mines and there are fantastical elements to all of it. The characters and comedy in the proceedings showcase classics Singeetham style filmmaking in a very innovative and creative manner.
Adding massive excitement to this through and through musical from the master storyteller is Rockstar Devi Sri Prasad. His music is like livewire and very different too. Known for his extraordinary musical sense and chart-topping hits, DSP teaming up with the visionary director for the first time is a highly anticipated event. This fresh combination promises to deliver an unforgettable, magical audio-visual treat.
