The ratings for the Kannada version are good and we have to wait and see if Telugu critics will also be good to Ram Gopal Varma. By the way, RGV is the producer of the movie, not the director. ‘Bhairava Geetha’ was helmed by Siddhartha Shankar. Though RGV made it look like his production venture will take on ‘2.0’ and lock horns with the superstar, he dropped the idea and came a week later in Kannada and in Telugu week, it’s quite late.
The reason for the postponement in Telugu is said to be the NOC to be procured from the Animal Welfare Board of India, New Delhi. If that is the case, how did the Kannada version go through the certification process without No Objection Certificate? Do the producers have to procure NOC separately for each language when it is the Animal Welfare Board in New Delhi that has to give the NOC? Quite ambiguous!
