Strong WOM Helps Khaidi Gain Upperhand Over Whistle

This is how the tides turn when it comes to films. A strong word of mouth from the paying public has helped Khaidi take the lead over Whistle in the weekdays.

After a lopsided opening day, where Vijay starrer Whistle trounced Karthi’s Khaidi comfortably, the latter has been recovering strongly with each passing day. The weekend saw huge grown for Khaidi whereas Whistle stayed par for course.

Come the weekdays, and Whistle saw a drop from the high weekend numbers. Khaidi, on the other hand, grew from strength to strength and is now a clear winner among the two for the Telugu audience. Still, the dull season and rains are impacting the collections, and full potential is missing.

In Tamil, the situation is same, but Bigil too is decently holding compared to the Telugu dub version. For the second week, Khaithi is given the prime slots across major stations.

Eventually, the high prices are going to make the Vijay starrer lose money for a few of its buyers, though. Kaithi will be an earner for everyone involved if it manages to sustain for another week.
