Sudden increase in foreign flow to AP capital!

Vijayawada and surrounding regions seem to be witnessing some growth as there is a sudden surge of foreign visitors for business inquiries and other tasks relating to construction of the new capital. It is said that there are at least 30% of the visitors in the star hotels of the city are foreigners coming from the US, Singapore, Japan, South Korea and other south-east Asian countries.

Earlier only foreigners related to some NGOs used to come to the city but now they are coming to tap the business opportunities in the capital region. The flurry of business activity and foreigners flow is expected to increase after the ground breaking ceremony of the capital is complete on June 6th.

The hospitality segment in the city did not register significant progress for several years as most of the development is concentrated in and around the Hyderabad during the United State. Things are changing slowly in favour of cities like Vijayawada and Vishakapatnam after the bifurcation.
