Mahesh BIL’s Film Scrapped for Unexpected Reasons

Ace badminton player turned coach, Pullela Gopichand has problems with the script of the biopic that is going to be made on his life story. Why? The makers of the film had made some changes to the original script.

So, Gopichand decided not to give a ‘No Objection Certificate’. Abhishek Nama, the producer wants to tap the popularity of Olympic medal winner PV Sindhu and hence added portions highlighting Sindhu. But, Gopichand didn’t want that way.

While the makers want to use Sindhu‘s popularity as a selling point, Gopichand wants Sindhu’s episode to be a causal part of the narrative, not to highlight the Olympic event and her win. With these issues, the film is stalled. Only when the issue gets sorted out, the makers may begin the pre-production work. Sudheer Babu was roped in play the role of Gopichand.
