Suicidal tendencies in Telangana TDP

Telugu Desam Party is battling its worst ever phase in Telangana post the state bifurcation. The party could not manage main opposition position in the last elections and even lost most MLAs to the ruling party. Despite the bad phase, party seniors seem to be not learning from the mistakes are dedicating more time and energy to fight among themselves.

Errabelli Dayakara Rao and Revanth Reddy are fighting for the Number one position in the party. The fight has become so much that the party could not even make it an issue when Police beat Errabelli at an event in Warangal. Revanth Reddy did not even condemn the incident. Congress is trying its level best to hit the streets on every issue but TDP leaders are mostly confining themselves to press meets in NTR Bhavan.

Errabelli even skipped the swearing in ceremony of the party committees as the posts are not delegated on his word. On the other side, Nagam Janardhan Reddy had indicated coming back to TDP. Nagam is a senior leader in Telangana and his addition will add some value to the struggling party. But Revanth Reddy is trying his level best to stop Nagam’s comeback as it will create one more power center in the party. He may even become one more CM candidate from the Reddy community the party is trying to woo in the newest state. Chanbrababu has a big task to repair the party in Telangana.
