Sukumar elevated himself to a whole new league altogether with his latest Pushpa world. The two parts of this film took clearly five years of production and it paid off richly as Pushpa 2 stands as one of the biggest blockbusters of all time in Indian cinema.
Incidentally, Sukumar has been completely of the great after completing the second part of Pushpa. He has been travelling around with his family and having some time for himself.
While a few might feel that Sukumar needs to capture the Pushpa momentum and set up another big project with some other superstar and get back to work quickly, it is not necessarily the case.
Firstly, Sukumar will have completely indulged himself in the world of Pushpa for the last half a decade, and that is evident with the output that has been generated. His creative juices might have been absolutely drenched with Pushpa flavour as such was this rigorous journey.
So the talented filmmaker will obviously need a lot of time to recuperate from this and completely get out of this Pushpa World. He will need to design some other new world to get into it, and that is the only remedy for a passionate filmmaker like himself.
This is going to be a natural transition and might take a bit longer than expected, but that really is the case as Sukumar will have to completely come out of this Pushpa hangover and set a new precedent with his next.
This is perhaps the reason why even Rajamouli takes more than a year to get out of his previous world and start a new project.
So a few might think Sukumar is wasting precious time after Pushpa, but at the heart of it, this is a much needed gap for this passionate filmmaker.
