Superstar Pays Back 1 Crore After OTT Release!

Suriya’s Jai Bhim, directed by TJ Gnanavel, was a hard-hitting legal drama about caste-based discrimination and the fight for the oppressed. The film was based on the real-life lawyer Chandru, who dedicated his life to fighting for the poor and oppressed without charging a single rupee.

The film received much acclaim and many accolades when it was released directly on OTT. It was one of the very few films released on OTT and became a huge success due to its powerful content.

Now actor Suriya accompanied by his wife met Tamil Nadu CM Stalin and donated Rs. 1 crore from the success of the film, Jai Bhim.

It is normal for an actor or producer to donate money for noble causes from the box office collections of their successful film. It is very rare that an actor actually donated money from the success of a film that was released directly on OTT.

Suriya is definitely a superstar not just on-screen but off-screen as well.
