Supreme Court lambasts top star for Visa approval

Bollywood star Salman Khan’s Visa to travel the UK has expired recently and the star could not get new Visa because the UK doesn’t allow visa to any person convicted in any court for any case. The actor is currently under trial in two cases.

Salman Khan however is not a convict in either of the cases and hence he could travel earlier but recently the Rajasthan government has appealed against the cancellation of conviction against the star in the poaching case and the Supreme Court has accorded the governments appeal. Not only that, it lambasted the star and his lawyer asking a question whether it could suspend conviction of all the criminals on similar grounds of hardship.

The Rajasthan High Court had earlier lifted conviction on Salman Khan for the reason that it is coming in his way of getting the ‘visa’. This is what prompted the Rajasthan government to appeal in the Supreme Court.
