‘Suriya has 50 Cr market in Telugu states’

Suriya is a big star in Tamil Nadu and also enjoys a good market in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. So, what is the estimate of business a Suriya’s film can do in Telugu States? Gnanavelraja of Sudio Green opines that Suriya’s market is around Rs.50 crores in Telugu States.

Though Suriya enjoys a big craze among dubbing film heroes in Telugu heroes, lately his films didn’t do well in Telugu (of course not to the expected level in Tamil even). Hence Rs. 50 crore is not an easy task for Suriya now, going by his previous two films business.

In Telugu, young star heroes’ market is around Rs.50 crore. And only a few made it to the 50 crore club. So a lot depends on the first day talk for Suriya’s ’24’ which decides the fate of the film at box office. The impact will be felt depending upon the word of mouth on the opening day here in Telugu.
