A film writer John Charles accused the director, KV Anand of stealing his script ‘Saravedi’ that he had narrated to the director two years ago. The writer filed a civil case in the Madras High Court.
John Charles claims that he came to know the similarities between ‘Kaappaan’ script and his script only after he watched the recently released teaser. So, he is demanding for the copyright fee and also the credits for the script.
The film writer is waiting for the next hearing of his case. ‘Kaappaan’ has Mohanlal playing the Prime Minister and Suriya playing a farmer and also a commando officer. Arya and his wife Sayyeshaa are also playing the lead roles besides Mohanlal and Suriya.
