Suriya Got Back to Him for OTT Anthology

Suriya’s OTT release ‘Soorarai Pottru’ brought back the much-needed excitement on the faces of his die-hard fans after long and there is another OTT outing in the making. We are talking about Suriya’s next to be released right after the present Sudha Kongara’s blockbuster.

He is now working with director Gautham Vasudeva Menon after a big gap of 12 years. Their last outing was ‘Suriya S/o Krishnan’. This is going to be one of the stories in the anthology that would stream on Netflix. The anthology is titled ‘Navarasa’ and Surya’s story will portray one of the nine rasas aka nine emotions.

The combination of Gautham Menon and Suriya in ‘Kaakha Kaakha’ that was remade as ‘Gharshana’ with Venkatesh in Telugu was a memorable one for Suriya’s fans. It gave that angry young man image to Suriya that he further developed with the Singham franchise.

This Maniratnam anthology ‘Navarasa’ will also have stories told by directors Karthick Naren, Karthik Subbaraju among others. Suriya’s fans are looking forward to this anthology and how the story with Suriya would shape up in the hands of a director who gave him a blockbuster like ‘Kaakha Kaakha’.
