Suriya’s next Is an Unofficial Remake?

After ‘Singham 3’, Suriya’s next is going to be a quickie with young filmmaker Vignesh Shivan. The shooting of ‘Thaanaa Serndha Kootam’ is proceeding at a brisk pace and it is creating interest as this movie is said to be an unofficial remake of the super hit Bollywood movie ‘Special 26’.

According to the hearsay, it’s not a proper remake but an adaptation of the Bollywood heist drama taking only the core plot and making a lot of changes to the characterizations. Suriya is essaying the role of a CBI officer and Keerthi Suresh his love interest. Ramya Krishna has a crucial role, an important one to essay.

This movie, ‘Special 26’ had been in news in Tollywood circles with the buzz that it would be remade in Telugu with Mass Maharaja Ravi Teja playing the lead. It never happened, though. Now that Suriya is said to be adapting the core concept for his movie, wouldn’t it be interesting to see how it has been done?
