The surprising thing here is the presence of only two songs in the album of 118. There is one more musical piece, but that is just a theme song. Sekhar Chandra has provided the music, and the two numbers bear a strong trademark of the musician. The first single ‘Chandamame’ is better among the two, although that itself lacks any freshness. The theme is alright.
The bottom line here is Kalyan Ram has stuck to the story, and the songs seem to be part of the narrative and not kept just for the commercial appeal. It is a good sign, and one hopes the content is worth it to take such decisions. KV Guhan directs 118, a thriller, which is going to release on March 1st worldwide.
