After Sye Raa, Another Telugu Period Drama Official

Seems, it’s time and trend for period dramas in Tollywood. After Chiranjeevi‘s ‘Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy’, here is yet another period drama in the pre-production phase which was announced officially.

It is ‘Hiranyakasipa’, the demon king. Rana will be essaying the titular role as Hiranyakasipa. Many of us are well aware of the story of ‘Bhakta Prahlada’ and his father Hiranyakasipa. But then, till date, the focus had been only on Prahlada, not his father who hates Lord Vishnu.

The film is going to be directed by Gunasekhar who has proven his adeptness at handling mythological and period dramas. Since it is a mythological drama, it would be heavy on graphics and the makers had already panned out a part of their budget for the CGI works.
