Telangana yet to lift Maggi Ban

With Nestle getting all the necessary clearances to bring back the ban on Maggi noodles, all the states have started lifted ban on the favourite 2 minutes noodles brand. However Telangana is yet to take a decision on lifting the ban.

The ban on Maggi was imposed in the first week of June, 2014 after the State Food Laboratory tested 22 Maggi noodles samples containing monosodium glutamate (MSG) in the tastemaker more than the permissible limits, while the lead content in the noodles samples within the 2.5% permissible limit.

Maggi already is available in shop shelves in the neighbouring states – Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh. Maggi was given green signal for a comeback after Bombay high court lifted the ban following passing of quality tests in laboratories.
