The Telangana Police Department has been implementing strict measures to combat the growing drug culture in the state. Over the past few months, frequent raids and arrests have been conducted as part of efforts to curb drug consumption.
According to the latest reports, Tollywood actor Abhishek was arrested in Goa by the officials of Telangana Anti Narcotics Bureau (TGNAB) for his involvement in multiple drug cases.
As per reports, Abhishek was one of the accused in drugs-related cases filed in SR Nagar and Jubilee Hills Police Stations. The investigation of these cases is currently ongoing in court. However, Abhishek has not been attending the hearings.
Reportedly, he flew to Goa after these cases were filed against him and was running a restaurant over there. As he was not attending the hearings, the court issued an arrest warrant against Abhishek.
Thus, TGNAB officials entered the scene and found out Abhishek’s location. Today, he was arrested in Goa and is being transferred to Hyderabad’s Central Crime Station.
Abhishek made his acting debut with the 2003 film Aithe. Later, he was seen in movies like Nuvvostanante Nenoddantana and Danger.
