Sumalatha was a Telugu actress who was very popular among the yesteryear audiences for her soft characters in Telugu films. This Telugu actress who was also popular in Kannada movies married popular Kannada actor turned politician Ambareesh.

It’s a known thing that congressman Ambareesh passed away recently and there have been speculation that Sumalatha might be foraying into Karnataka politics, very soon. But, the Telugu actress never showed any political inclination when her husband was quite active in Karnataka politics.

On demand from Ambareesh’s fans, Sumalatha gave clarity that she isn’t interested in politics but if she has to make an entry into politics, she would like to enter into politics from Mandya.
