Industry Folks Not In Favour of Opening Theaters?

A crucial meeting between industry biggies and Telangana Cinematography Minister, Talasani Srinivas Yadav happened the other day in Hyderabad at Megastar Chiranjeevi‘s house. Suresh Babu in an interview revealed what has happened in the meeting and hinted that the industry is not in favor of opening the theaters in a hurry.

“We have requested to allow Post-production activities to help Films planning to sell OTT and Satellite Rights. Not in a hurry to open theatres and any attempts to speed up the process might prove counterproductive,” Suresh Babu revealed.

This indicates that the re-opening of theaters is not round the corner. There are reports that the shootings may be allowed from June 1st. Rajamouli and Koratala will make a mock video of the shoots with social-distancing measures. The videos will be submitted to the Government and only if satisfied, the shootings may be allowed.

Several filmmakers already started the post-production of their films unofficially. They will do works freely once allowed by the Government.
