Telugu Heroine Diagnosed With Breast Cancer

Actress Hamsa Nandini is diagnosed with Grade III Invasive Carcinoma (breast cancer). The actress has to undergo 16 cycles of chemotherapy and radiation for the next three years and so far she has undergone nine cycles of chemo.

The actress learnt upon suffering from breast cancer four months ago. She calls this time as tough but she is resilient and undeterred by this threat.

It may be recalled that Hamsa Nandini had lost her mother due to cancer. The actress dubs that it is her mother’s sheer determination that she had got and follows the same approach and fighting spirit as her mother.

While the actress is motivating and pushing herself hard in this crisis, making the situation worse, Hamsa Nandini’s cancer is said to be hereditary which she learnt after taking a genetic test called BRCA. This means that even if she gets over this situation, she has a 70 percent chance of redeveloping another breast cancer and she has 45 percent chance of developing ovarian cancer.

This means that as long as she continues to live she has to fight throughout. Speaking about her career, it is been a while she made appearance on the big screen The actress is largely known for her sizzling dance numbers.
