Hero MotoCorp,the leading two wheeler maker in the country is all set to setup sixth manufacturing facility for the company. The CEO of the company, Pawan Munjal two days ago announced that the company wants to setup the unit in South India so as to cater the needs of the region and is scouting for the right location. As soon as the announcement came, Telangana and Andhra Pradesh are in a mad race to bring the plant.
Both the states went in touch with the company officials and have initially offered to meet all the demands of the company.Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandra Babu Naidu even spoke directly to Pawan Munjal.Telangana government offered site at Zaheerabad in Medak district, where Mahindra and Mahindra has its country’s largest tractor manufacturing plant, the Andhra Pradesh government suggested the company to chose SriCity in Chittoor or Nellore districts.
