Teaser Talk: Chay’s ‘Real Life’ Mass

Naga Chaitanya Akkineni is taking a detour of sorts with his next film Thandel which is directed by Chandoo Mondeti. The makers are planning to keep this film in the news right from the start and hence, they have released a glimpse video just a few weeks after starting the shoot.

The glimpse video gives a peek into the world of Thadel and we see the good making values right away. The first thing that catches the attention is obviously Naga Chaitanya’s mass makeover.

Chay sports beard and long hair. There is some de-glam makeup as well. He looks fitting in the role and has undergone some evident physical makeover. This could well be his most challenging character to date. His fishermen’s slang is alright. The glimpse of Sai Pallavi towards the end is heartening to watch.

The film is based on the action-oriented tale of multiple fishermen from AP who were nabbed by Pakistan security forces while on a voyage. It is based on real-life incidents involving Telugu fishermen. It has that instant intrigue factor.

Chandoo Mondeti is directing the film and it is produced by Bunny Vas. It is being shot on a lavish scale.
