That 40 Minutes Killed the Movie!

Lengthy run time of some films is mostly acting as a big killer and the makers come to understand this only after those films hit theatres and the talk is out on the lengthy run time. The same thing happened for the recently released ‘Malupu’.

The Telugu version of the movie is 1 hour 58 minutes, while Tamil version has been 2 hours, 38 minutes. It’s obvious that the Tamil version is 40 minutes extra. Interestingly, the Telugu version of the movie is doing well compared to the Tamil version.

Raviraja Pinishetty accords the difference to the lengthy run time of the movie in Tamil. They expected the movie to do well in Tamil, but it proved otherwise and Telugu version is doing above the expected.
