A new trend has begun in Tollywood that is several actresses are refraining from acting opposite comedy stars like Sunil and Allari Naresh. This has been noticed after observing that actresses like Sneha Ullal, Kamna Jethmalani, Saloni, Ritu Barmecha, Monal Gujjar, and Isha Chawla have something in common, despite their early success, all of them are now doing only ‘small films’ and are struggling to stay in the film industry. Tollywood equation goes like this, most actress feel like if they act with comedy heroes they believe they never get to act with big heroes. On the other hand comedy heroes do not want to act with big heroines too as they could dominate and get more attention.
The funny thing is that all these actresses have worked with comedy stars in at least one of their films and that has acted like a curse for them. It is said that, somehow, after acting opposite comedy heroes like Sunil and Allari Naresh, their careers began to sink.
