Udaya Bhanu, popular TV anchor and artiste, has irked the makers of her latest film Madhumati, which will feature her in a lead role for the first time. Apparently, the actress didn’t turn up for the audio launch of the film on Friday, and the makers are furious about it. They are upset with the actress because she also turned down a song that she was supposed to do for the film.
The makers are now planning to take up this matter with Movie Artists Association and Producers’ Council and lodge a complaint against Bhanu for not turning up for the audio launch, which is believed to be one of the most important phase of promotional cycle of films. A close source reveals that Bhanu didn’t bother to inform the makers of the film the reason behind her absence and chose to take the matter lightly.
As an actress isn’t she supposed to be present for audio launches? Or at least have the courtesy to inform her team the reason behind her absence? Most top actresses nowadays are skipping audio launches and other important events.
